The company was a favourite of the British royal family, with both Queen Elizabeth II and Diana, Princess of Wales choosing Anysley pottery as wedding gifts. Aynsley has without a doubt been one of the most influential brands in the British tableware industry. The famous designs such as Cottage Garden, Pembroke and Wild Tudor are collections that are still popular today. The company was purchased by Waterford Glass and renamed to Aynsley China Ltd. However, in May 1997 Belleek Pottery Group acquired the pottery.
